Preventive Care is an important part of staying healthy, and Bedford City School District rewards employees who complete an annual wellness (physical) exam with a 5% discount on their medical and dental plan deductions.

You earn the 2024 wellness discount immediately! Complete a preventive care visit by November 15, 2024 to keep your discounts in 2025. Wellness discounts do not roll over from year to year.

If you are having trouble scheduling a preventive care visit before the November 15th deadline, consider a virtual visit with MD Live. Most visits, including required bloodwork, can be completed in a week or less! Go to the myCigna app or myCigna.com and click on "Talk to a Doctor" to get started. Bedford City School District’s medical plan covers 100% of the cost of in-network preventive care, so it is free to participate in the wellness program. Joining the program is completely voluntary, and you will have a new opportunity to qualify for discounted medical and dental plan rates each year.
